Caldwell area goes to St. Patricks Day parades






Towns around Caldwell are gearing up for their St. Patrick’s Day parades.









The parade in Nutley is taking place tomorrow, March 2. The Rutherford Irish American Association is hosting it again this year, and it will be the 41st year for the event. Entries will be lining up in the Holy Family parking lot starting at noon, and the parade will begin at 1:00 pm.





A post-parade party will take place at 172 Washington Avenue at the Nutley VFW Post 493 from 3:00 pm until 7:00 pm. Food will consist of hotdogs, and corned beef sandwiches and entertainment will be The Captain & O’Neill.





West Orange will have its St. Pat’s Day Parade on Sunday, March 10. That one will step off at 12:15 pm on the corner of Main Street and Mr. Pleasant Avenue in front of Town Hall. It will continue north on Main and end on Eagle Rock Avenue at our Lady of Lourdes Church.





Newark’s parade will take place on March 15, starting at 1:00 pm. Over 100 Irish organizations will participate. The route will start on Mulberry Street at the Prudential Center and proceed past the Gateway Center, Military Park, and the Newark Museum ending at Washington Park.





Pictures taken of friends and relatives in their Irish regalia during St. Pat’s parades can be taken to local Stationery printers to be made into Letterheads and family Calendars.
