This month has an unusual array of events, beginning with a benefit performance given by Studio Players.
The play will include music from movies and musicals in a performance where Hollywood meets Broadway. Performers will be both professionals and students.
The Montclair History Center will be hosting a tour of two local historic houses. The Historic YMCA and Crane House will be a look into our nation’s history from its independence to the civil rights era. Evergreens, the Shultz House takes visitors back to the early 20th Century. These homes are perfect subjects for Stationery printers.
West Caldwell will offer a Summer Pie Baking Contest. Residents from Caldwell, West Caldwell and Roseland will be baking and entering their favorite pies. Judges and the audience will be sampling the pastries.
For local antique junkies, the Summer Antique Expo will feature over 60 dealers. Genres include Americana, jewelry, Oriental carpets and collectable porcelain.
Broadway goes to the Movies will be July 14 starting at 7:30 pm at Studio Players, 14 Alvin Place in Upper Montclair.
Care House and historic YWCA are located at 110 Orange Road and the Charles Shultz House is at 30 North Mountain Avenue in Mt. Claire. Tours will be on July 15.
Summer Pie Contest will be in the Crane Park Gazebo, July 17 starting at 6:30 pm in West Caldwell.
Summer Antiques Expo will be July 29 at the Mennen Sports Arena, 161 East Hanover Avenue, Morris Township.
