NASCAR to hold races in May

The Coca-Cola 600 sponsored by NASCAR will be held at the Charlotte Motor Speedway in Concord later this month.

President and CEO of Speedway Motorsports, based in North Carolina, Marcus Smith, expressed his thankfulness to Roy Cooper, governor of the state, for working with the Charlotte Motor Speedway so that NASCAR can hold this annual race. Teams participating in this event are primarily based in Charlotte and will be returning to work as essential businesses.
Although no fans will be able to attend the event, flyer printing services and mailers are typically used to keep such fans informed of such events.

Tim Moore, Speaker of the North Carolina State House, also expressed his appreciation of the return of NASCAR to the Speedway. He said this was a collaborative effort and is an important step in bringing businesses and the economy back and having exciting competitive events in the state.

NASCAR will be running its 36 Cup Series and will need to reschedule many of these events during the upcoming season as these events are held in different states.

Leading up to the Coca-Cola 600, there will be racing at Darlington Raceway in South Carolina on Sunday May 17 with a second race three days later on Wednesday May 20. The Coca-Cola 600will be held on Memorial Day weekend on Sunday May 24.
