Civics course to be held in Concord

Applications are now being accepted for the Concord 101 course for this year.

This program is held every year and is for residents of the city to learn about their local government. The course lasts for 14 weeks and is free. Those who live in Concord and are 18 years of age or older are encouraged to apply for the program as soon as possible, as space is limited to 30 people per class.

The course provides an opportunity for residents to learn about the services provided by the city and its government. There will be staff from each department of the city, city management, and members of the City Council during the course.

There will also be tours of city facilities and attendees will be able to see how services in the city are run, including sewer, water, parks and recreation, and transportation. Attendees will also learn from community partners and city leaders on how the city is managing its growth and economic development.

Brochure printing is often used to provide more details about such courses and their schedule of speakers and topics.

Classes are held every week on Tuesday. There are two options for attendance—there is a class from 2:00 to 4:15 pm and another from 6:15 to 8:30 pm. Classes begin in August with a graduation ceremony held in November.
