Whether they were a child of the 1990s or they just love the pop culture from that time, an event that will be hitting Charlotte’s bars and clubs will see those who participate ‘Party Like it’s 1999’.
This April, the bars along East Trade Street will be taking a step back in time to two decades ago. Fanny packs, slap bracelets, and cargo pants will be the order of the day, and six different bars and pubs have chosen to be a part of the occasion.
When ticket holders arrive at Whiskey River to check in, they will receive their slap bracelet, as well as a special color changing glass that includes an ‘I Love the 90’s’ graphic design. They will also be offered free entry to the participating establishments along with drink specials and other benefits.
Those who plan on being a part of this event are encouraged to go to the back of their closet and dig out their best ‘90s outfit. They are also reminded that they will be required to show either a hard copy of their ticket or have the original on their phone, as screenshots will not be accepted. IDs are also mandatory.
This special celebration of all things ‘90s will be hitting Charlotte’s bars on April 6. Its scheduled start time is 3:00 pm.
