Best restaurants in Charlotte gear up for food festival

Foodies in the Queen City are in for a special treat this April, as a highly-anticipated food festival is being organized to promote local restaurants and eateries.

The Charlotte StrEATs Tasting Tour 2026 will make its return to the city for the fifth year running, allowing area residents the opportunity to sample several options from some of the best establishments without leaving the Uptown neighborhood. Attendees will get to try signature bites and sip on craft cocktails created by the area’s best mixologists. Local chefs will also provide live cooking demos, granting guests a behind-the-scenes look at the cooking process.

Organizers have secured commitments from over 20 local restaurants, along with several musicians and bands to perform live at the gathering. All guests must be 21 or over to enter the festival, which is a rain-or-shine event. Promoters can reach a large audience of visitors and passersby with banner printing at festivals like this.

No pets will be allowed at this year’s event, except for service animals and guide or signal dogs. Backpacks, coolers, smoking, and camping chairs are also prohibited. The event is one of the few woman-owned and operated food festivals nationwide.

First Ward Park will be the host site for the food festival, which will open its gates at noon on Saturday, April 11th. General admission tickets are $88.95 per guest online.
