A culinary class is in the works in Charlotte for this November, providing participants with a hands-on learning experience focused on making homemade dumplings.
The Dumplings From Scratch: Fold, Fill, Savor cooking workshop has made tickets available for purchase online ahead of its November experience, giving foodies and individuals who want to expand their culinary skills an opportunity to reserve their places. The learning environment will be warm, welcoming, and great for beginners. The two-hour class will use interactive teaching methods to help participants build confidence while learning each step of dumpling-making.
Chef Alyssa will lead the workshop and give guests the background history of dumplings, with a special look at the role these doughy concoctions play in Lunar New Year festivities for different cultures. Print shops can add to the student experience at such culinary workshops by providing robust, high-quality recipe and ingredient sheets that students can use in class and at home.
Students will knead their dough, select their preferred fillings, and roll the dumpling wrappers. Filling options include shrimp and vegetables. Chef Alyssa will also lead students through different cooking methods, and students will then eat the dumplings they make. Students are encouraged to report dietary restrictions in advance.
Hi-Wire Brewing and Noble Taproom Cidery in Charlotte is hosting the culinary workshop on Thursday, November 12th and again on Thursday, November 26th to ensure more people can attend. Doors open at 6:30pm. Tickets are $64.80 per person online.
