Charlotte residents who enjoy exercise and refreshment can take part in a fun event at the end of the month.
Carmel Middle School is hosting a ‘Sundae Run’ that includes a 5K and a fun run. The 5K race will begin and end at the school, while the fun run is a short loop.
After working up an appetite, participants can indulge at the postrace ice cream buffet with toppings. To get the word out about the event, printing companies were likely asked to form Flyers and other promotional materials.
Registration costs $25 for the 5K and $10 for the fun run. Once race day arrives, the price increases by $5. The first 550 participants in the 5K will get custom ice cream bowls.
Awards will be passed out to the top overall masters, the top three in each gender overall, and the top three by gender and age group. All participants can Print out a finisher’s certificate online.
Prerace packet collection will be available on August 28 from 3:00 pm until 6:00 pm at the Charlotte Running Company, located on 5355 Ballantyne Commons Parkway in Suite 300.
