Iconic duo to mark 50th year in music in Charlotte

A musical pair is honoring reaching their fifth decade in the entertainment industry with a new tour. A late November show is taking place in Charlotte.

The 50th Anniversary Celebration Tour will be using the stage of Ovens Auditorium. The venue is cashless, and all tickets will be sent to attendees via their mobile devices.

Air Supply features Russell Hitchcock and Graham Russell. The two met when both were chorus members in the touring production of “Jesus Christ Superstar” in Australia. Since then, the group has consistently toured, even achieving several firsts for western musicians, such as performing in China and Cuba.

Songs in their discography include hits such as “Lost In Love,” “Making Love Out of Nothing at All,” “Just As I Am,” “Two Less Lonely People In the World,” “Sweet Dreams,” “Too Sentimental,” “Dance With Me,” “Even the Nights Are Better,” “Come What May,” “I Want to Give It All,” and “Stronger Than the Night.”

Tickets are sold by Ticketmaster with a price range of $81.60 to $453.15. Parking for the show is covered by the purchase of a ticket. When crafting merchandise to sell to the concertgoers, artists will often hire a graphic design company to make special designs in honor of the tour. The Charlotte concert will start at 7:30pm on November 22nd.
