Charlotte residents with a sweet tooth will be in for a treat next month, as Dessert Wars is visiting Queen City.
Dessert lovers from around the region are welcome to attend and try doughnuts, pastries, cakes, and more at the culinary event. The event, touted as the largest dessert festival in the United States, will display the tastiest treats Charlotte bakers can offer.
Dessert Wars Charlotte aims to celebrate the foodie lifestyle, with dessert vendors from around North Carolina competing for the title of Dessert Champion. Offerings like cupcakes, ice cream, doughnuts, and cookies will be staples of the samples attendees can try. Attendees will exchange sample tickets for a dessert at the vendors who stand out to them. Guests will also enjoy an opportunity to vote for the best sweets and bakers in attendance. The event is family-friendly, and children two and under do not require tickets to enter. Attendance is capped, and interested parties are encouraged to make reservations while they last.
The Park Expo Center will host Dessert Wars on Saturday, September 14, starting at 3:00 PM and ending at 7:00 PM. General admission tickets start at $40 per guest, and interested parties can RSVP online.
