Charlotte to create new crop of wigmakers

A Charlotte class will help a new crop of hairpiece makers get started in the craft of wig manufacture, using a sewing machine to do it.

During the Hairpiece Making Class, a group of learners will each be making four items: a wrap ponytail, an enclosed machine closure hairpiece, a bang closure, and a drawstring ponytail. The instructors will utilize a TWC Deluxe sewing machine, so anyone who brings a different machine will have to know how to thread it.

Advanced registration is required to book a seat in this class, and everyone is asked to bring along three or four bundles of inexpensive weft hair. Scissors, a comb, and a three-foot extension cord are also needed. Any other supplies will be provided to the learners, and the fee to take the class is $330.

The organizers of the workshop explained that certificates will be emailed to each student after the class is complete. Printers that offer Graphic Design Services will be able to supply items like these, and they can include the business’s Logo Design as well.

This chance for Charlotte beauticians and other professionals in the esthetics field to offer a new service to their clients will be taking place on March 7, 2021. It's scheduled to be held at 4800 South Tryon Street.
