Charlotte session to mark return of migrating birds

This spring, millions of birds will be passing through Charlotte on their way to their northern homes, and a special activity will give them a warm welcome.

The SEED Wildlife and Children’s Garden will be marking the arrival of the warmer weather by hosting its Naturalist Egg Hunt, which will be for kids and parents or guardians to enjoy together. It will combine learning and fun, and when they head for home, the hope is that everyone who comes out will have a deeper appreciation for their feathered friends.

Kids who participate will be able to make their own binoculars, which they can then use to spot replicas of eggs hidden in the gardens by staff and volunteers. These will look like the real thing, and will be placed in nests for the children to find. There will be facilitated crafting sessions and other fun as well, and refreshments will be served.

Special events often call for unique signage and decor, and a banner printing company will be pleased to help. It can work with almost any budget, and may accept riders submitted online, in person or over the phone.

The 2023 Naturalist Egg Hunts will be showing some love to the area’s feathery visitors on April 1. More details about the day can be found online on the Wing Haven website.
