Winter offers plenty to appreciate at the UNC Charlotte Botanical gardens, and an activity has been planned to showcase the beauty that can be found there even when the temperatures are chilly.
The botanical gardens will be hosting a winter walk through Susie Harwood Garden. There will be an opportunity to experience the subtle beauty of the colorful berries, evergreens, winter bark, and even some colorful flowers. It will provide those who take part with inspiration that they can use in planning their own home landscapes. The services of a booklet printing enterprise can be used to create Notebooks for those who take part in walks like these, so that they can write down any notes and other things they have learned during an afternoon such as this.
There will be two guided tours that include a brief discussion on camellias, which are considered by many to be the star of a Southern landscape. The walkers will meet at the Macmillan Greenhouse, and then proceed out from there.
The walks are scheduled to take place at 1:00 pm and 2:00 pm on February 28, and there is a charge of $5. There is no cost for those who are members of the gardens. The location for the outing will be at the USC Botanical Gardens, which is located at 9090 Craver Road in Charlotte.
