This month, runners in Charlotte can choose between participating in a full marathon, a half marathon, or 5K run/walk.
The Novant Health Thunder Road races allow runners to race through various neighborhoods in the Charlotte area while enjoying a wide variety of entertainment. Throughout the day, bands will be playing on several stages. In addition, artists and radio music will be set up along the course.
Spectators may choose to enter a cheer contest where entrants are given a place to cheer for the runners. Runners will choose the best groups to receive a cash prize.
After the race, participants can enjoy the ‘Finish Line Festival’. In the evening, there will be an after party featuring a DJ and drink specials. It’s likely a banner printing company was hired to make large Signs to welcome participants and spectators to the event.
Depending on the date and race option, registration costs between $35 and $130. Online registration culminates on November 9 at midnight. Packets can be picked up the day before the race at the Thunder Road Health and Wellness Expo, located at the Charlotte Convention Center from 10:00 am until 9:00 pm. Registration and packet pick-up will not be available on race day.
The events take place on November 15 with the full and half marathon beginning at 7:45 am. The 5K run and walk starts at 8:15 am. Awards ceremonies will follow all the races.Get a Free Quote for Signs
