Charlotte runner Scott Starwell will be hosting an event to raise money to help local kids have fun and keep active.
Starwell, who was selected to run in the Boston Marathon by the CMAK Foundation, will be partnering with Blue Blaze Brewing for an afternoon of fundraising and fun. The public will have an opportunity to visit the brewery and bid on items in the silent auction, with the goal for the day being to raise at least $7,000.
The monies that are raised through this activity will be used by the CMAK Foundation to support efforts such as the Race4Chase, which gives local children an opportunity to learn how to swim, bike, and run through training to participate in a triathlon. In addition to this, a portion of the proceeds will be given to YMCA’s throughout the city.
The organizers of the event welcome any donations, and each person who makes one will be given a receipt for income tax purposes. Flyer printing can be used to create Flyers and other marketing items for a fundraiser such as this.
The silent auction will be held on March 3 from 3:00 pm until 6:00 pm at Blue Blaze Brewing, which is located at 528 S Turner Street in Charlotte. Anyone who is interested in finding out more is invited to visit the event’s website.
