Thanks to an upcoming Charlotte workshop, members of the local hiking and camping communities will soon be hitting the trail using gear put together with their own two hands.
Blue Blaze Brewing will be the host for an evening workshop that will see a group of participants learn how they can easily make their own stuff sack. Travis Browning, a local hiker who has been developing his own methods for crafting gear, will guide the learners during the session, and while they work, the participants will be able to enjoy a cold beer or a snack from the local food truck parked at the brewery.
For a registration fee of $13, the students in the class will receive instruction as well as the materials they need to craft a draw stringed stuff sack using bonding Tape and Dyneema Composite Fabric. They method used will require no sewing, and while they are working, the attendees can share stories of their own adventures out in the back country.
The organizer of the session explained that the goal of the experience is to show the assembled group that it is possible for them to make many of their own hiking and camping supplies. Flyers can be a great choice for promoting this sort of casual event, and a flyer printing company can be counted on to supply them.
Blue Blaze Brewing has made plans to host this event on October 20. Tickets can now be reserved to be included in the session.
