An upcoming Charlotte day camp’s registration system is now open to give kids some hands-on learning.
The kids who participate in McDowell Nature Center’s Little Critter Camp: Animal House will be heading outdoors to explore the world around them. Each session will run for half a day, and the organizers explained that it can be a good choice for any little ones who have never attended a day camp before.
The campers will be getting their hands dirty making discoveries about the creatures that live in the soil, and they will also head to a local stream to learn about the creatures that call the water home. A visit to a wooded area is on the agenda as well, with Rachel Smith serving as the instructor.
The organizers noted that masks must be worn by each of the campers when they are indoors, as well as any time when they will be less than six feet apart when outside. Medical waivers and other business Forms for this sort of activity protect both the campers and host organization, and these can be produced by local Stationery printers.
The upcoming camp will be running from Monday, July 19 to Friday, July 23. It will be for kids from ages five to seven, and will be held at the center itself.
