Charlotte dads welcomed to afternoon planned in their honor

Thanks to an upcoming event, finding just the right gift for dad in Charlotte just got a whole lot easier.

The Queen City Father’s Day Festival offers a fun afternoon filled with activities for fathers and kids to enjoy together, and the proceeds will be used to offer support and services to homeless men in the community.

A curated selection of more than 50 vendors have already registered to be a part of the occasion, and this list is expected to grow even larger. There will be free giveaways, some of Charlotte’s top barbers will be on hand to give touch ups, and music and other live entertainment is also on the agenda.

While the dads enjoy the displays, vendor tables, food and other attractions, the younger guests can take a spin in a bounce house, play games and buy a treat in the bake sale. The public is welcome to set up tailgate parties in the parking lot, and the first 100 to arrive at the door will receive a swag bag filled with Promotional Products to thank them for being a part of the celebration.

Those who plan on attending the festivities are asked to keep those in need in mind and bring along a donation of items that can be distributed to homeless men in Charlotte. Sample size toiletries, disposable razors, new boxers or briefs, and soap are just a few of the items called for.

This celebration of dads and all they do has been planned for June 15. It will be taking place in The Carole Hoefener Center.
