The 50th ‘Festival in the Park’ will provide participants with a wide variety of activities for both adults and children later this month.
Since 1964, residents in Charlotte have been coming together to appreciate the arts. For this milestone year, the main stage features will music from bands, while the Carolina Clown Stage will have face painting, games, and skits. Aerial dance performances, karaoke, and the 'Charlotte Dance Festival' are some of the other highlights.
At the family fun zone, families can enjoy rides like the merry-go-round, a locomotive, and a Ferris wheel. Guests can also indulge in all types of culinary creations. At the artists’ walk, guests can view and purchase art. There will also be an art contest at which both cash and tent space will awarded. Applications are available on the festival’s website.
With close to 100,000 people expected to attend, the festival is an opportunity for artists to promote their talent. It is likely some artists will have used printing services to make digital Business Cards to distribute at the event.
The festival occurs on September 19 from 4:00 pm until 9:30 pm, September 20 from 10:00 am until 9:30 pm, and on September 21 from 11:00 am until 6:00 pm. It all takes place at Freedom Park, located at 1900 East Boulevard.
