Charlotte celebrate to salute breast cancer survivors

A Charlotte celebration will both raise funds and stand in solidarity with those who have beat breast cancer.

Truist Field will be welcoming walkers who sign up for the Pink Cupcake Walk, and everyone is encouraged to get involved. It will raise money for Go Jen Go!, and will take place immediately before Taste of Charlotte begins.

The event will see walkers do four laps around Charlotte Knights Baseball Field, and each time they round the final corner, the participants will receive a frosted mini cupcake. The final lap will be reserved for those who have survived and thrived in their battle against breast cancer, and they will be invited to choose a “survivor” T-shirt printed with a special graphic design.

The organizers of the day explained in its release that it would not be possible without support from the local bakeries donating the cupcakes for the occasion. Stationery printers can prepare custom certificates to present to each supporter of an activity to thank them for their assistance and encourage further future support.

The Pink Cupcake Walk will be hitting the field on Saturday, October 1 at 10:00 am, and everyone is welcome to lace up their sneakers and join the fun. The final lap will take place before the Taste of Charlotte scheduled start time of 11:00 am.
