Charlotte kids who love animals may just find that a summer camp planned for the city will be just what they have been looking for.
The Animal Care Camp scheduled for McDowell Nature Preserve will give its future wildlife biologists, veterinarians and animal care providers a chance to get their feet wet, and they will be working with both wild and domestic animals. The campers will be invited to show off what they have learned during a live show that will be performed for their parents, caregivers and other guests, and its intended for youngsters who are between the ages of five and eleven.
The kids will gain experience in handling and caring for native reptiles and other wild animals, and birds of prey, farm animals and pets will also be included. There will be two weeks to choose from, and the full itinerary will be distributed two weeks before the start of the camp.
An activity of this sort can be a lot of fun for youngsters, and it can be so exciting they won’t even realize they are learning. Tees and other camper uniforms can be prepared for this type occasion, and can be printed with its Logo Design.
The registration fee for this week of summer fun is $170.00, and the session will begin on June 29th and July 6th. Questions about the function can be forwarded to mcdowellprograms@mecknc.gov.
