Charlotte business set to expand

A current member of the Charlotte commercial community recently announced that it plans on expanding its operations.

Red Ventures, which is a marketing and technology company, made the announcement that it will be investing $5m to improve and upgrade its facility, and in the process, create 500 jobs.

A variety of positions will need to be filled, including I.T. specialists, software developers, analysts, and also inside sales agents. It is expected that these new employees will add an additional $24.5m a year to the company’s payroll. It can also result in spinoff benefits for other businesses. For example, a company that prints digital Business Cards can be called upon to create ones for their new staff.

According to Ric Elias, who is the CEO of Red Ventures, this is part of the enterprise’s plan to attract and retain the very best talent in the field. He also noted that it is pleased to have been able to put in place an excellent working partnership with the State of North Carolina that will create so many high level positions in the area.

The company pointed out that part of the reason they have been able to undertake the project is a Job Development Investment Grant, which received approval through the state’s Economic Investment Committee. In order to be given the payments, it must meet certain employment and other benchmarks that have been set by NC Revenue and NC Commerce.
