Charlotte art lovers are invited to show their support for a local artistic institution.
The Bechtler Museum of Modern Art will be hosting its annual formal fundraising gala. Dubbed “Atomic”, it will pay tribute to modern design from the mid-century with special displays in the galleries located on its fourth floor in an exhibit called “ The House that Modernism Built”. Along with the artwork to enjoy , there will be hors d’oeuvres and small plate-style gourmet offerings, beers, wines and cocktails as well as live music and dancing and a silent auction.
Tickets for this black tie event start at $140.00. Valet parking will be offered for those who require it. All of the funds raised during the event will be used directly by the museum to cover the costs of its activities, including providing outreach to the community and acquiring new pieces and future exhibitions.
The date for the function is Friday April 8th, starting at 7:00 pm, and it will run until 11:00 pm. The Bechtler Museum of Modern Art is located at 420 South Tryon Street in Charlotte.
