A Charlotte event will bring together ‘geeks’ of all kinds, be they gamers, sci-fi fans, comic book aficionados, anime fans, or anyone else who would like to get together with others who share their interests.
The 8th Annual Geek Gala, named ‘2016 Geek Gala: Lost in Galactic Space Balls’, will see a variety of events planned that its organizers hope will be fun for everyone who takes part. There will be board game marathons, movies, an artists’ walkway, a festival of short films, and a raffle. In addition to all of this, Gala Quest will take participants across the city, and the Main Event will feature a group of comedians and other performers as well as a talent contest. Graphic design can be used by printing professionals to create a variety of promotional and other items for events such as this.
Funds raised throughout the weekend will be donated to the Dave Thomas foundation in memory of Christina Paquette. Those who come out are invited to dress in costume or their regular clothes.
Tickets for the gala, which will be held at the Hilton Charlotte Executive Park in Charlotte from October 21 until October 23, start at $30.00 each, and include a T-shirt. Donations to help meet the expenses of hosting the event are also welcome.
