Research shows that black dogs often face a tougher time being adopted than those lighter in color, and an organization that offers them a helping hand will be hosting a furry fundraiser this fall.
Charlotte Black Dogs has planned photo sessions with Santa for Charlotte’s canines. Dubbed Social Distance Santa 2020, it will give the public a safe venue to get their fur kid’s holiday pictures taken, and the booking fee is $10.
There are 26 timeslots available for this activity, and to help make social distancing easier, it has been requested that each dog is accompanied by just one pet parent. Once an individual has ordered their ticket, they are asked to call 704-849-7387 to set up a particular time. The monies raised will be used by Charlotte Black Dogs to increase public awareness, and more information about this will be distributed during the photo shoots.
This type of fun activity has the additional benefit of raising awareness in the public about a cause. A printer can prepare inexpensive Promotional Products to give to each participant, and these can be designed so that they include an organization’s name and contact details.
Social Distance Santa has been scheduled for December 12. The photos will be taken from 11:00 am until 2:00 pm at 9600 Monroe Road.
