Star Wars meets Charlotte in upcoming musical event

The Star Wars franchise first began 40 years ago, and the Charlotte Symphony orchestra will be marking the occasion with a special performance that will celebrate the music from the movies.

The orchestra will be performing a selection of pieces by John Williams that were used in the Star wars series of films. The title theme as well as incidental music from the seven movies will be featured, and fans are invited to join in the spirit of the occasion. Digital copying can be used to create programs and other mementos of the occasion to be distributed to the audience members.

The performance will take place in the Levine Center for the Arts’ Knight Theater, which can be found at 430 South Tryon Street in Charlotte. Tickets for the show start at $27.00, with discounts available for students, theater members and more, and they can also be purchased as a gift for someone else. The venue is wheelchair accessible, and assistive devices are available for the hearing impaired. Those who plan on making use of this assistance are asked to speak with the box office for further information.

The Charlotte Symphony’s performance of Star Wars the Music will be held form January 12th until the 14th. Tickets can be purchased both on line through the theater’s website or in person at its box office.
