Inspirational event pushes Charlotte toward positive change
Charlotte residents who want to learn how to make a difference in their community are in luck, as an all-encompassing event is in the works for the city.
The Make It Happen Month event, organized by Candice Kelly, will begin welcoming guests and visitors next month. The gathering aims to bring hundreds of people together across the Queen City who are committed to making their dreams become reality while helping their communities.
The event will dive into the will of each attendee to create something lasting and meaningful, whether it is a book, app, or piece of art. It will be spread across thirty days and use frameworks developed by Dr. Saras Sarasvathy. Attendees will meet throughout the month to check their progress and work with like-minded individuals. Business cards are an excellent way to share information and engage with other attendees at such events.
Attendees can work on any project that interests them, with the project no further along than the concept stage. Participants must be 18 or older to enroll in and learn from the course. No business plan is required to move forward with the project.
The event will be hosted by the Do Greater Charlotte Foundation starting on January 1st. Future meeting dates will be shared with enrolled participants. Enrollment starts at $50 per person and can be booked online.
