Community walk promotes mental health in Charlotte
The Charlotte community is coming together next month to raise awareness for a good cause, and area residents are encouraged to sign up and participate.
The 2025 Let’s Talk About It Mental Health Awareness Walk will open its enrollment soon, offering Charlotte residents an opportunity to find support while raising awareness of mental health conditions. The event is aiming to break the stigma associated with mental health, specifically in Black and Brown communities in the area.
Organizers hope to break the stigma to allow individuals facing stress, anxiety, depression, and other mental health conditions to come forward and share their experiences while garnering support. The walk will help participants become more aware and educated about these conditions and gain a new understanding of how to help those they care about. Flyer printing is a cost-effective way to promote such events in the community and increase attendance and awareness.
Attendees will also find resources to help them with their mental health journeys at the walk. In addition to the walk, guests will enjoy a fun day outdoors that will include vendors, food and beverage trucks, and music while breaking barriers in Charlotte’s communities.
The walk will begin at 9:00 AM on Saturday, May 17th. Participants will meet at Martin Luther King Jr. Middle School before walking the planned route. Registration is free and available online.
