Charlotte kids to enjoy nature-based Easter Egg hunt

An Easter Egg hunt with a special twist will welcome Charlotte’s junior nature lovers, and it will help them to learn about the various birds that can be found in and around the city.

The SEED Wildlife and Children's Gardens has made plans to celebrate the arrival of spring with a day that combines learning with fun. It's geared towards children who are age ten and under, and an adult must be on hand with each attendee as well.

During the activity, the kids will make their own “binoculars'', which they will be able to use to spot birds in the gardens. The staff will hide replicas of actual bird eggs in nests throughout the site, and while the children hunt, they will be learning about the various species of songbirds that can be found in the area. There will be other fun on offer as well, and refreshments will be provided.

Creating a day that combines learning about nature with hands-on fun is one way an organization can encourage families to develop a greater appreciation of the natural world. Signage for these types of functions may be obtained by contacting a local banner printing company.

Wing Haven gardens will be offering this kid-centered event on April 2nd. The venue for the egg hunt is located at 260 Ridgewood Avenue in Charlotte.
