Thanksgiving-themed run helps Charlotte celebrate

A distance running event is being organized for Queen City residents who want to stay active or who are seeking a new family tradition this autumn.

The Charlotte Turkey Trot, which has been voted as a top 20 Thanksgiving Day Turkey Trot nationwide, has announced the official date for the big event and opened registration to interested individuals and groups online. The event, which has become a Charlotte tradition that has continued running for 37 years, has previously set records as the biggest road race in North Carolina.

The 2025 Turkey Trot brought over 12,200 participants together and has become a homecoming event for families with members who have moved elsewhere but return to the Queen City for Thanksgiving. Major running events like this are a suitable fit for banner printing as a marketing tool, with Banners decorating the route and providing countless impressions to the event’s sponsors among participants and spectators.

Participants can sign up for the Turkey Trot as runners or walkers to start the holidays with a big achievement. Registration options include an 8K run, 5K run or walk, a 1-mile run or walk, and a 50-yard tot trot for infants.

Registered participants will meet at SouthPark Mall in Charlotte on Thursday, November 26th, at 8:00am. Online registration costs $45 for the 8K and 5K, $30 for the 1-mile course, and the tot trot is free.
