The cold days of February are never too chilly for chili, and a Charlotte festival will elevate this humble dish into something special.
The city’s amateur cooks will be putting their culinary skills to the test in the annual Chili Cook Off set to be held at The Unknown Brewing Co. There are spaces for up to 20 teams, and the contestants will be vying for the bragging rights that go along with being crowned as Charlotte’s Chili Champ.
In response to COVID-19, the organizers of this annual activity have made some changes to help keep everyone safe. It will be divided into two sessions of two hours each, and each tasting ticket holder will be treated to unlimited samples of chili. Once they have tried them all, they will be able to vote for their top picks.
While this event may be all about having a great time, it also has a higher purpose as the proceeds will be donated to Purple Heart Homes. A brochure printing company can prepare programs and other publications to distribute to those who attend a function like this so that they will be able to learn even more about the cause they are supporting.
This year's Charlotte Chili Cookoff will be held at The Unknown Brewing Co. on February 27. The first session will kick off at 3:00 pm.
