Nutcracker ballet to return to Charlotte for another year

Tchaikovsky’s ‘The Nutcracker’ has long been a family favorite, and the Harris YMCA School of Dance will be staging its 14th annual performance of this well-loved ballet in Charlotte.

To celebrate this year’s staging of the ballet, a special meet-and-greet will be held before the 10:30 am Saturday and 1:00 pm Sunday performances. Participants will be able to talk and mingle with the cast on the stage, there will be opportunities for photos with the stars, and refreshments will be served. The meet-and-greet ticket holders will also be seated before those with general admission passes. A printer can use graphic design to produce special commemorative programs for those who purchase a special ticket for an event such as this that they can keep as a memento of their day.

Any girls who are members of the Girl Scouts who attend the show can earn their Nutcracker patch for doing so.

The performances will take place on Saturday, December 10, and Sunday, December 11, in the Dana Auditorium of Queens University. General admission tickets are $15 each, while the meet-and-greet passes are $20.00. Donations to the Harris YMCA School of Dance will also be gratefully accepted.

Anyone who is interested in finding out more about this staging of the Nutcracker, or who would like to purchase tickets, can do so through its Eventbrite listing.
