Lego expo fosters imagination in Charlotte

A Lego expo is being planned for Charlotte residents next month, displaying the limitless options for creations with the small plastic bricks.

The Brick Fan Expo Charlotte, a fan event centered around Lego enthusiasts, will be making a stop in town to provide two days of fun that collectors and enthusiasts will not forget. The gathering claims to be the largest Lego fan event in the Southern United States, with several family-friendly exhibits and activities being held around the host venue.

Attendees will see building zones, speakers, character meet-and-greets, and creations to view from expert builders and other fans. Guests can also participate in Lego-themed races on the 125-foot RC off-road course to put their skills and daring to the test. Guest speakers will include Master Builder Dan Steininger, Mark and Steven Erickson of the LEGO Masters TV show, and LEGO MASTERs Season Four winner Christopher Lee. Kids who want to get in on the action can stop by the Kids Zone, where they will find thousands of DUPLO bricks to create their masterpieces.

The Park Expo and Conference Center in Charlotte will host the Lego Expo on the weekend of March 8th and 9th, with the doors opening at 10:00 AM. General admission tickets start at $30.51 per guest and can be reserved online.
