Charlotte workshop to be dedicated to event planning

Those who have always wanted to get involved in the event planning industry, or who just want to broaden their skillset, may wish to register for a short course that has been planned for Charlotte.

These training workshops will be led by a facilitator who has a lot of experience in the event planning field, and they will be sharing tips the students can use to create events both large and small. The participants will be led through a variety of topics, ranging from budgeting to vendor negotiation, developing contracts for specific occasions and types of events and more. There will be a discussion of the importance of building positive relationships with both clients and vendors, and there will also be an opportunity for the attendees to put their new skills into practice by working with their students planning a mock event of their very own.

According to the organizers, much of the learning will be hands on, as well as fun. Developing a marketing plan for an event is just one of the topics that will be on the agenda, and digital copying can be utilized to create Copies of handouts and other material for the participants.

The workshop will take place starting on November 1 at Charlotte CenterStage @ NoDa, and additional details and an opportunity to register can be found on the Clarke Allen website.
