Charlotte whips up double header in the kitchen

Charlotte locals may want to register for two upcoming cooking classes at Chef Alyssa’s Kitchen, featuring sweet and savory themes.

The first offering is a chocolate workshop at which participants can learn how to make truffles and coat chocolates. During this class, Pierce Lusk, a pastry chef and chocolatier, will help attendees make three different styles of truffles: molded, rolled, and dipped. Participants will also make chocolate covered almonds.

The chocolate class is for beginner plus, intermediate, and intermediate plus levels. Registration costs $75 and individuals can sign up on the business' website.

The second event is a ‘Date Night: Paella Fiesta’ class, and participants will learn how to make paella, local sautéed mushrooms, and caramel flan. This class is for intermediate and intermediate plus levels. Registration is $65.

Chef Alyssa’s Kitchen’s offerings range from gourmet grilled cheeses to Moroccan cuisine, and the establishment offers a wide variety of classes geared towards different ability levels. It is likely the company has used Stationery printers to make Menus for the cooking classes.

The chocolate workshop takes place a week today, on February 24 from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm. The date night class will happen on March 6 from 6:30 pm until 9:00 pm.

Chef Alyssa’s Kitchen is located inside Atherton Market, which can be found on 2104 South Boulevard.
