Charlotte residents given tips on mental health

An event has been planned for Charlotte that will seek to raise awareness about mental health and the issues that surround it.

This will be the city’s first ever ‘Let’s Talk About It Mental Health Awareness Walk’. The goal is to help to reduce the stigma so often associated with mental illness and encourage more people who need help to not be afraid to seek it. The organizers hope that the event will show those living with mental health issues that they have the support of their friends, neighbors, and community.

The day will begin with registration at 8:30 am, which will be followed by a vendor fair that starts at 9:00. There will also be a free session of yoga and after that, the Event Program will begin. A variety of Promotional Products can be produced by a printer that can be use during public awareness events such as this, such as pamphlets and Brochures for people to take home and digest more information.

The walk has been organized through the combined efforts of Eustress, Inc. and BRKTHRU. Both organizations work to educate about the topic of mental health issues and provide support to those who need it. It will take place on May 21 at Park Road Park, which is located at 6220 Park Road in Charlotte.
