The term “bird brain” is rarely used positively, but a Charlotte learning opportunity will show that these feathered friends are often a lot smarter than what people might think.
Jennifer Ackerman, who is a science writer and speaker, will share her knowledge of the avian brain during a presentation that has been organized by Charlotte's Wing Haven. It will be a hybrid function with both in-person and online attendance options on offer.
The talk, which is titled “The Genius of Birds,” will explore how the avian brain operates and also how it interprets the world around them. The audience will be treated to photos taken in various locations around the world, and they will learn how birds use tools, navigate, count, name their young, use language, and even craft musical instruments. The registration fee for the in-person experience starts at $20, while the virtual tickets start at $10.
Expert-led presentations often provide a lot of information for those who are interested in a particular topic. A brochure printing company will be able to help by preparing materials to hand out to the attendees so they can learn even more.
Charlotte’s Wing Haven will be welcoming registrants for the in-person session at 248 Ridgewood Avenue on January 20, and it will start at 10:00 am. Joining instructions for the online version will be provided upon registration.
