A terrarium can be a simple way to bring an assortment of plants into a home, and those who take part in a “plant and sip” planned for Charlotte will be constructing these miniature gardens for themselves.
PlantHouse will be sharing secrets for preparing terrariums that can be enjoyed in a home or office, and the goal is to create a planting that needs minimal care beyond some watering and feeding. The wine bottles that will be used for the craft will all be recycled, and staff will be on hand to offer tips and advice.
Every ticket holder for the activity will be able to choose four plants that complement each other, and they will learn why it is important to combine species that have similar care requirements. These will be combined with soil, rocks and other decorative elements to plant their garden in the bottle provided, and this also comes with a separate wooden stand.
If participants at events like this are supplied with tip sheets, it will be easier for them to keep their plants healthy, and these may be sourced from Stationery printers in the local area.
PlantHouse, which can be found at 2452 Park Road, will be offering this plant and sip on April 20. Wine is not included in the ticket price of $35.
