The Duke Mansion in Charlotte is celebrating its 100th birthday with a New Year’s Eve party.
Guests will be treated to a gourmet dinner in a heated tent. The black-tie affair will also feature a midnight champagne toast and a breakfast. DJ ‘That Guy Smitty’ will provide music for dancing and enjoyment.
No doubt the event organizers have asked Stationery printers to create Menus and promotional materials for the event. Embossed lettering provides an elegant touch to any menu or handout.
Constructed in 1915, the Duke Mansion provided a home for different families throughout the years. In the late 1970s, the home was put on several historic registries. At one point, it was sold and almost turned into condominiums, but due to the efforts of the Ray family and the Duke Power Company, the mansion was able to be protected.
Now, the mansion is a historic inn and meeting center. Along with 20 guest rooms, it has a business center and over four acres of grounds. As a nonprofit organization, the establishment’s proceeds are used to help protect its legacy.
The celebration will take place on December 31 from 8:00 pm until 1:30 am on New Year’s Day. Duke Mansion is located on 400 Hermitage Road. Admission costs $258 per person or $515 per couple.
