Charlotte looks to dress to impress through fundraiser

This month, individuals in Charlotte can attend a networking event for a good cause.

The 'Annual Ultimate Power Lunch' is a fundraiser that
features a luncheon and a fashion show. It was created to help raise money for the Charlotte non-profit ‘Dress for Success’. The organization provides professional clothing for underprivileged women. As a result, the group hopes to help females become financially independent.

When a woman is given an interview, ‘Dress for Success’ provides her with business attire. After she is hired, the individual can exchange the attire for another work outfit.

The event already has at least two dozen sponsors and is also taking donations, which are intended to help provide women with job-searching tools, internet access, and, of course, clothing. As a bonus, the Leon Levine Foundation has provided the organization with a “$10,000 matching grant”.

Since this is a networking event, individuals may want to exchange digital Business Cards, as these are an easy way to help people remember business contacts, prospective clients, or possible employees.

Tickets are $50 per person or $500 for a table of eight, and parking is included. They can be purchased on EventBrite. The fun begins on September 25 from 11:30 am to 1:15 pm, and takes place at the The Fillmore located at 1000 NC Music Factory Boulevard.
