April Fool’s Day offers an excuse for kids to play some tricks on their friends and family, and a local cooking studio wants to get in on the fun.
Whether they already enjoy spending time creating in the kitchen or they have never cooked before, the April Fool’s Day Trick Out Your Dish class can be enjoyed by any child between the ages of 5 to 12. It will be a daylong activity, and parents who register their child will also be able to access before- and after-camp care if required.
The kids who register for the day will be preparing an assortment of dishes that will fool their family and friends. Meatloaf and mashed potato “cupcakes'', a “kitty litter” cake, and sunny-side-up eggs with toast will all be prepared. The ingredients and other materials needed will be supplied, and at the end of the afternoon, they will be able to take some of their creations home with them.
When organizing an activity like this, the planners may want to connect with local Stationery printers. They can provide recipe cards to give to each child, and can even laminate them so they will be safe from kitchen spills.
Flour Power Kids Cooking Studios will be helping to make April Fool's Day a bit more fun on April 1 itself. The registration fee is $84.
