Charlotte goes barefoot for a good cause

Individuals who like to go shoeless may be interested in the 3rd Annual Barefoot Gala, which is about to step into Charlotte.

Samaritan’s Feet is hosting the ‘black-tie optional’ event. Upon arrival, guests will be asked to leave their shoes at the check-in. The gala will have food, live music, and a silent auction. Ken Knox and Company will be playing some tunes.

This year, three ‘Women of Influence’ will be featured. These ladies will discuss how they influence domestic and international communities.

Samaritan’s Feet helps provide shoes to people in poverty who can’t afford basic needs. As a result, the organization hopes to prevent individuals from cutting their feet or succumbing to an infection. With new socks and shoes, the foundation believes they can help individuals have a brighter future. In addition, the volunteers also wash participants’ feet and talk with them.

Individual tickets cost $150. In addition, there are other opportunities for sponsors and anyone who wants to make a donation.

Samaritan’s Feet relies on volunteers to help at shoe drives, distribution centers, and with shoe processing at the warehouse. The gala offers an opportunity for the group to find more volunteers. No doubt the organization used a printing company to make Business Cards and Brochures to pass out at the event.

The gala unfolds on November 1 at 6:30 pm. It all takes place at the Charlotte Marriott City Center, located on 100 West Trade Street.
