Whether they are fancy like a French macaroon or as humble as a basic chocolate chip, cookies are a dessert and snack beloved by many. A Charlotte celebration will seek the city’s top recipe for these treats, and the public is invited to get in on the fun.
Residents of Charlotte who attend The Great American Cookie Crumble challenge will be treated to a chance to sample a wide selection of cookies, and maybe even get a little inspiration they can use in their own baking. It’s free to attend, and all ages are welcome.
Bakers from across the city will be entering their cookies in the event, and skilled home pastry chefs are encouraged to register for a chance to enter their favorite recipe. There will also be special activities just for the kids as well as entertainment for all the guests to enjoy. The celebration has been planned for the community by Charlotte Center City Partners, and the public is welcome to start arriving at 11:00 am.
A competition like this can be a lot of fun for the local culinary community. Print shops can prepare certificates for the winners as well as trophies for the top entries.
