Charlotte cookery class to sharpen knife-handling kills

Knowing the basics of knife skills can be an important part of kitchen safety, and a Charlotte class will equip learners with knowledge of how to cut and chop like a professional.

The Basic Knife Skills class that will be taught at Charlotte’s Chef Alyssa’s Kitchen may be helpful to both newbies and seasoned home chefs alike. It has a run time of three hours, and the fee to register is $70.

During the workshop, the participants will learn how to properly care for their blade so it will last for a long time to come. They will also be taught how to choose the right knife for a particular job, and each pupil will get some hands-on practice with slicing, dicing, mincing, julienning, and preparing a chiffonade. Everyone will go home with the ingredients they have prepared, and they will also be invited to taste test the fruits of their labors.

A cookery class like this can be a lot of fun, and the skills taught can be used throughout a person's life. Aprons, chef’s hats, take-home Boxes, and other items printed with a business's Logo Design are often ordered for such an event.

This chance for the public to sharpen their knife-handling skills will begin at 6:00 pm on September 19th. The location will be 4001-C Yancey Rd.
