Taking place November 29th, this year’s Charlotte Chamber of Commerce event is going to focus on the theme “Outrageous Aspirations”.
Taking place at the NASCAR Hall of Fame on East Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard, it will be an evening of reminiscing as over 2,000 local members take another look at the major events that have taken place in this last year. At the same time, those in attendance can also look forward to discussing the future of Charlotte’s business community. With both members and non-members able to be present at this annual meeting, it’ll be an excellent opportunity to network with other professionals. Consequently, it’s a good idea for those attending to make sure they have all their business card printing ready. They’ll need it.
One of the highlights of the annual meeting will be Harvey Gantt’s acceptance of the Citizen of the Carolinas Award. The Belk Innovation in Diversity Award, which is given each year to local businesses that demonstrate creative thinking when it comes to equal representation in the workplace, will also be awarded. Both awards are prestigious and most definitely well deserved. Pat Rodgers, the 2011 Chairwoman, is going to be present along with Frank Emory, who is to serve as Chairperson in 2012. Their presence will undoubtedly set the tone for the rest of the evening to come.
Non-members and members will be charged $75 for entrance with a discount available to those who register in groups of 8. The day of the Annual Meeting will be here soon. Register as soon as possible to ensure a spot.
