Battle of the Bands to visit Charlotte

Labor Day Weekend is approaching, and Charlotte residents are in for a treat, as several marching bands will be competing to determine the best.

The 2024 Charlotte Battle of the Bands will commence in a few weeks. It will showcase the best of Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU). The event aims to provide a safe and memorable environment for music lovers and families to enjoy a competitive and captivating musical performance.

Eight HBCU marching bands will compete for the top prize. Prominent bands participating in this year’s event include North Carolina A&T, Clark Atlanta University, Bethune Cookman University, and Talladega College. Guests can anticipate an event similar to scenes from the hit movie Drumline.

Food trucks will attend the Battle of the Bands to bring flavor and refreshments to the show's attendees. Flyer printing is an effective form of grassroots marketing that spreads awareness of such events in the community.

A tailgate will also be held outside of the event venue to enjoy socialization and celebrations before and after the competition ends. Guests can bring food and beverages to the tailgate, though outside refreshments will not be allowed into the stadium.

The American Legion Memorial Stadium will host the 2024 Battle of the Bands on Sunday, September 1, from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Tickets cost $25 for general admission seats, and guests can RSVP online.
