St. Charles residents eager to contribute to a charitable cause will be participating in a race taking place in October. This event is open to novices, seasoned veterans, and indeed anyone hoping to enjoy a stimulating day outdoors.
The 8th Annual Harris House 5K Run/Walk was created to provide financial support to those struggling with chemical dependency issues. It has raised a significant amount of money over the years thanks to community-wide recognition. While mainly geared towards adult attendees, there will also be plenty of on-site activities which can be accessed by those arriving with children.
Participants can choose to run the entire course, although they also walk. Younger guests can also enter a 1/4-mile kiddie dash. All events will follow the course of the Katy Trail. The first 300 registrants will be provided with a complimentary T-shirt once the race concludes.
Charitable races will often seek to employ money-saving advertising techniques still capable of reaching a wide audience. They may partner with reliable Print shops to order Flyers, to create banner ads that can be hung around strategic locations, or to distribute pamphlets as the day of the event draws closer.
The 8th Annual Harris House 5K Run/Walk is taking place on Saturday, October 3rd, and all events are scheduled to begin at 8:30 AM. It will be hosted by the St. Charles Family Arena located at 2002 Arena Parkway. Entrance fees are priced at $35 per person.
