Historic Main Street in downtown St. Charles will celebrate the holidays every weekend with Saint Charles Christmas Traditions.
Stores stay open late and special events are planned every Friday evening, and all day on Saturday and Sunday, between Thanksgiving and Christmas. There are other special events during the season as part of Christmas Traditions.
Anyone planning a visit to St. Charles on a weekend between Thanksgiving and Christmas will find a variety of entertainment along Main Street. They can meet characters from their favorite holiday classic stories and sample chestnuts roasted over an open fire. Many characters provide entertaining stories through history or fairy tales. Families can visit Santa with his elves at Frontier Park and view his workshop.
Visitors who are in the area on Wednesdays can enjoy A Christmas Carol Stroll in addition to the regular weekend events. Fridays add an international flair with activities, such as Krampus Karnival with carnival games. Stores in historic St. Charles may announce special events and sales using local printing services for Flyers and other promotional items.
