St. Charles announces return of apple pie festival

Some events are as American as apple pie, and an upcoming festival in St. Charles will offer plenty of tasty treats that prove this to be true.

This celebration is open to all residents, and those who wish to showcase their baking talents are encouraged to participate.

The 3rd Annual St. Charles Market on Main Street Apple Pie Contest provides a means for amateur bakers to demonstrate their skills. As the title suggests, each entrant will be asked to provide a fully cooked apple pie. Judges will then determine the most talented contestants, and prices are thereafter awarded to the top three.

Organizers have also recently announced a handful of important rules. All pies must be baked from scratch. No store-purchased crusts or fillings are permitted. Only one pie can be submitted per household, and this competition is only open to amateurs.

Niche events that have already developed a significant local following will frequently use proven advertising techniques offering a higher return on investment. Some well-known examples include informational flyer printing, working with volunteers to distribute Brochures, and creating leaflets that can be handed out in local restaurants.

The Third Annual St. Charles Market on Main Street Apple Pie Contest will be returning on Saturday, September 12th between 11 AM and 12 PM. This event is being hosted by the Foundry Art Centre located at 520 North Main Center. Tickets begin at $5 per contestant.
