Thanks to an upcoming chilli cook-off, residents of St. Charles will be provided with a means to stave off the cold autumns that have often been associated with the Midwest.
St. Charles will soon be hosting its second annual chilli cook-off, and everyone is welcome to participate in this one-day competition. Even those who are not culinary specialists can also sample the dishes prepared by others, and vote for which one is the tastiest.
All contestants are provided with 2-ounce cups. They can then submit their concoctions. Awards will be determined by taste, color, texture, and consistency. Note that both red and white chilli recipes are accepted, although these will be segmented into two different categories. Organizers recommend cooking at least two gallons of chilli in total so that it can be shared with all attendees.
Niche festivals such as this tend to use novel advertising methods to connect with their audience base. These include printing Stationery with branded Letterheads, distributing Brochures, and creating one-off social media announcements.
The 2025 Saint Charles Chilli Cook-Off is being held on Sunday, November 15th between 7:30 AM and 1 PM. Similar to previous festivals, it will be hosted by the Saint Charles Market located at 230 South Main Street. Anyone who wishes to participate in this competition will be required to pay a $5 entry fee. However, the public can enter at no charge.
